That which belongs together has come together

The opera "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" was recently staged in a highly acclaimed new production at the Frankfurt Opera. The title role was sung by Nicholas Brownlee. MeisterSinger founder and CEO explains:

When Nicholas Brownlee approached me, I was quite excited about the idea of a partnership. Nicholas is a gifted, highly charismatic opera singer and plays the leading role in the opera that gave MeisterSinger its name. He is a true fan of the brand who understands and lives the underlying philosophy of a relaxed perception of time. It doesn’t get more fitting than that!

Title role Nicholas Brownlee

Playing the leading role of Hans Sachs is undeniably a huge challenge, which Brownlee would well have realized at the latest when he held the German textbook in his hands for the first time.

Vocally, lyrically, and in terms of acting, the role demands an outstanding performance – a challenge that Brownlee has more than lived up to. As the youngest Hans Sachs ever, he boasts some excellent reviews.

The brand name MeisterSinger

Did you know? MeisterSinger borrowed its name from Richard Wagner’s opera The Meister-singer of Nuremberg. In his opera, Wagner tells the story of a singing competition. The one who knew best how to strike a new note was chosen as the best singer or “Meistersinger.” And the iconic single-hand watch brand repeatedly manages to hit that new note.

A true MeisterSinger

Brownlee wears his MeisterSinger with passion.

It is unbelievably beautiful, it’s unbelievably stylish but also it does the job in the most beauti-ful, most consistent way. MeisterSinger is a headturner… and I think of myself as something of a headturner”, he says laughing. Then he adds: “And by the way: Given the fact that I’m sing-ing Hans Sachs in ‘Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg’ how could I ever be fully dressed without a MeisterSinger?
