The Edition Planet Earth features a jet black dial and an open date disk in the same color. Against this background, a centrally arranged, almost photorealistic representation of our planet Earth makes a striking impression. The outer ring of the dial, the recessed date ring, and the image of the earth are in perfect harmony with one another. The hour numerals from 01 to 12 are arranged in a circle with an additional dot marking the half-hours. A small red arrow at 12 o’clock points to the current date.
The stainless steel case is 43 mm in diameter, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The movement can be easily viewed through the sixfold screwed glass exhibition back as it performs its high-precision task. The world-famous logo of MeisterSinger’s collaboration partner, the panda with the WWF lettering, adorns the glass exhibition back.
The large Swiss Sellita SW400 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the Edition Planet Earth. At midnight, the date switches to the next day at lightning speed.
The “Planet Earth” project has been implemented in close collaboration with the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), one of the world’s leading nature conservation organizations. The limited-edition watch reminds us in an incomparable way of how precious and incredibly impressive our home planet is. A vegan strap made of apple fiber and a sustainably produced watch case complete the overall concept. For every watch sold, MeisterSinger and its retailers will each donate 100 euros as direct support for the WWF.
Each line in the outer circle of MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches stands for exactly 5 minutes. The hand is therefore both an hour hand and a minute hand. For example, if the hand points to the fifth stroke after ten, the time is 10:25.
The line hierarchy typical of MeisterSinger single-hand watches additionally divides the time display into half and quarter hours, thus making it easier to read off the time accurately.
