Edition Napoléon

The gold case frames a deep green dial, Napoleon’s favorite color. The circular surface structure and 12-part sunburst finish lend the dial a captivating vibrancy. The historically inspired hour hand bears a bee at its shorter end. The watch evokes the gran-deur of a structuring vision for France while acknowledging the excesses inherent to conquest. Hence the choice of the bee – a symbol of order and organization – rather than the eagle, which is more closely associated with aggression and predation. The bees on the dial suggest a social mechanism: rigor, efficiency, and collective effort. This watch retains the essential spirit: the constructive impulse. The eight bees are arranged precisely to reflect the constellati-on of Leo, the zodiac sign under which Napoleon was born. Encircling the golden “N,” naturally standing for Napoleon’s initial, is a laurel wreath—an an-cient emblem of victory and honor. The MeisterSinger logo—presented here in an elegant cursive script—enhances the historical-ly inspired character of this edition timepiece. Unusual for MeisterSinger, the fine line hierarchy along the edge of the dial marks intervals not in the typical five-minute steps, but in 15-minute divisions. All golden accents on the dial are applied in multiple layers, executed in relief, and create an impressive three-dimensional effect.

The 40 mm case of the MeisterSinger Pangaea family is finished in gold PVD coating, water-resistant up to 5 bar, and fitted with a domed sapphire glass over the dial. The caseback features an embossed gold coin: A faithful replica of the 20-franc gold Napoleon I “laureate head” coin, minted bet-ween 1807 and 1814. Crafted in 9-carat gold and weighing around 5 grams, each coin has been meticulously handmade by a skilled jeweler. The result of many hours of work and ex-ceptional expertise, it gives this timepiece a unique character and true collector’s appeal.

The Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement, which is specially modified for MeisterSinger’s single-hand watches, quietly ticks inside the edition. The rotor supplies the automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve.
